Home Business – THE PHONE WARS

They’re Calling It
THE PHONE WARS

With the rise of Android Smartphones almost one-out-of-three adults in developed countries have a smartphone device within three feet of them right now. (You might even be reading this email on a smartphone!)

But what does this mean for small business owners? What does this mean to us?

It means the world is rapidly changing. That we have to adapt to the times. Or go extinct like the dinosaurs.

You see, your market won’t be reading your website or watching your videos on a desktop computer for much longer. Your Facebook friends and Twitter followers will almost certainly be mobile if they aren’t already — within the next two years.

In the meantime, the stats indicate that Internet marketing game is far from over.In fact, they indicate the opposite trend.

They indicate that smartphone users are using their phones to check their email more often on-the-go throughout the course of their work day.

But make no mistake it isn’t as easy (or as cheap!) as it used to be. Take Pay-Per-Click marketing for example which seems to be going the way of the Dodo. Or even email marketing which is now getting to be more expensive with every passing year.

In the “early days” of Internet Marketing 80-90% email open rates were not a rarity. They weren’t the rule by any means. But they weren’t unheard of.

Now most online business owners are thrilled to get 10-15%! (Think about what that really means when you have to pay to send tens of thousands of emails every day…)

Make no mistake the writing is on the wall. You had better start building your bunker now so you can fight off the bandits tomorrow. There will be blood.

However, in the midst of the bloodshed there will also be opportunity.

The opportunity to build your marketing empire using tools that didn’t even exist even five short years ago by tapping into the mobile marketing technology explosion we’re going to see in the next two years…

Baron Rothschild, a member of the Rothschild banking family, was quoted as saying:“The time to buy is when there’s blood in the streets.”

I promise you the phone wars are raging and there will be blood.

But I also promise you there will be opportunity too.

If you want to be on the winning side then you had better brush up on this attraction marketing “stuff” before it’s too late to take advantage of mobile…

The technology may change but I promise you that human nature and the principles taught in Magnetic Sponsoring will not…

Not in our lifetimes…

Yours in success,

Two Hot Tips for Makeing More Affiliate Sales

Today he’s talking about “Two Hot Little Tricks to Make More Affiliate Sales”. I already knew one of his hot little tricks, however it was a great reminder.  The other one was a brand new idea for me… man, I can sure see how it could be really powerful.

Two Sneaky Little Tricks to Make More Affiliate Sales

by Matt Bacak

I know what all you marketers out there are thinking… I probably should have called this article “three sneaky little tricks” because you would have read the article faster. However, I did not want to pull a third trick out of the air that I have never used before. I want to be a credible and reliable resource for you on the topic of affiliate marketing, so today you only get two. Here we go…

Side note: Odd numbers pull better than even ones.

Trick #1 – This is something that most people don’t do.

Record a video of yourself buying the product you are promoting, and send the video out to your subscribers showing you bought it, giving them social proof.
That strategy works very well. It is kind of like playing the game when you were a little kid called “follow the leader” or “monkey see monkey do”.

Trick #2 – This is something simple that only a few people do.

Throw in your own special bonus and tell your list if they buy the product you are promoting, you will give them “X” bonus. Just have your customers email you the receipt, and then you send them whatever it is that you promised them. It works fairly well.

Ok, ok folks, I did actually come up with a third one. While writing this article, something else did come to mind… I talked about it on the webinar I recorded with Bill Glazer last week. Click here to watch the replay where I reveal the third sneaky trick and discuss “The 2 Money-Making Sides of Affiliate Marketing.

See you on the webinar.

Matt Bacak is considered by many an Internet Marketing Legend. Using his stealth marketing techniques, he became a Best Selling author with a huge fan base of over 300k people in his niche as well as built multi-million dollar companies. Since Matt has been an internet marketer for over 8 years now, his techniques and strategies are widely used across the internet and he has taught many of the Whos Who of intenet marketing. Many people say that Matt is a self-made millionaire. Matt says that is totally wrong. He says, he is a couple-made millionaire. There is no way I could have gotten to the place I am today without my wife by my side.

Week 3 – Home Business Training: Writing a Biziness Plan

Subject: Writing a Biziness Plan

Hi Fellow Entrepreneur,

It’s Wes, back again with your weekly SpidersMarktingWeb Home Business (HB) newsletter!

Let’s talk today about:

Writing a Business Plan.

At this point in time, you should be ready to get your Home Business (HB) started in every way except one. You may need a little money (for at least a website and autoresponder)to start it. For us, you won’t need much… it could be either in the form of a C-Card, rainy day cash, small loan from a friend or relitive or maybe from family investors, but… even before that happens, there’s one more thing you need first.

The one thing you will need before you get and spend a single dime in capital (cash) for your business should always be a business plan.

No, it doesn’t need to be a full blown complicated business plan.

But, you do need to at least touch all the bases and put some real thought into your HB.  This is a BIG step in ensuring your future success.

While you are just starting out on the internet, this isn’t required at all since you will most likely have your small amount of startup capital yourself.  But, it’s highly recommended even when you start small as it will serve as a map to your success.

Look at it this way… have you ever failed at something when you had a detailed step by step plan on how to get it done?

Let’s start at the beginning.

What is a Business Plan?

A business plan is simply a list of answers to questions that people might have about your HB. You will not be able to get outside (bank) funding without one, because the people giving you the funding want to know that you have thought your venture through completely. A business plan says: I’ve considered this from every angle, and I am ready to get going and succeed.

Your business plan should include:  a good description of your service.

Just exactly what is it that you plan to do?

Tell those that read it which industry you’re going to be in, and why you’ve chosen it. I know this is already beginning to sound hard, but once you see an easy to follow example plan… and there are lots of them on the internet, you’ll find that you can probably do one in a day or two at most.

I was going to give you a link to my plan here, but then I realized that there are much better examples out there and they are more current on the latest trends and markets.  I found mine by typing in my niche name and the words business plan after it.  I found several and kind of used parts of 2 different ones to make mine fit my needs.  I have no doubt you’ll have no trouble doing the same thing.

That said, let’s press on.

Next, just who are your customers?

No, it’s not everyone!  Once you know exactly what your business will do, the next thing you need to know is whom you are going to be offering your services to or doing it for.  This is nothing more than a simple demographics listing (age, income, hobbies, subscribe to what magazines… etc.) of your ideal client.

Again, your sample Biz Plan will have examples and may (if you used a current one)have done much of the work for you.

Next up, what makes your business different?

You will need to explain in as much detail as you can exactly what it is that makes your HB different from all the other businesses in your market. How do you plan to stand out from the crowd and what will you do to make the business succeed? This now becomes your Unique Selling Proposition (USP) that you will use later on as we develop your business.

Finally, take a short time and list your expenses.

Include your start up expenses and any equipment that you may need before you can get up and running. If you don’t have everything to start, that’s OK, just detail what you need and where you will get access to use it until you have your own.

Also include your daily expenses such as staff costs and supplies.  On the internet, this can be as simple a website hosting server, an autoresponder and electronic mail address along with a thumb drive for backups and data transfers.

Remember, this is just and overview.  This has been just a brief discussion of your final plan.  If you need more help with your business plan do a quick search on the Internet like I stated above. There are plenty of real life up to date examples available for almost any niche you can think of.

Now, get out your pencil and paper or get on your computer and get started.  The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll be on your way to success on your own terms.

Until next week when we talk about starting a Biz and some advice, here’s to your success!

Welcome to Wes’ First issue of Home Business Weekly!

Welcome to Wes’ Home Business Weekly!

Hello fellow Home Business Entrepreneur,
Welcome to the very first issue of Wes’ SpidersMarketingWeb Home Business Weekly!

Each week you will receive an issue with home business (HB) information, articles and quick tips you can use to build your own successful HB.

In this issue let’s talk a little about….

Why You Want to Start a Home Business?

Working from home is a big dream for many, I know because I’m one of them. But fear tends to holds us back sometimes. To help get past that, below I have listed a few reasons why starting a HB is your best bet in the current economic situation.

Your Great Ideas Comes to Life. You have a great HB idea?  This is the number one reason that most people go into biziness from home. Remember the kind of ideas that are good for a HB are ones that can become a reality quickly, and start bringing in an income in a short period of time.

You can do What You Really Love. Most people have something that they really love to do and would even do it for nothing if they could.  Getting paid for doing what you love is not only a bonus… but a dream come true. You have the ability, right now, to make your dream a reality!

You get to be the big boss. No more J.O.B. (Just Over Broke) working your fingers to the bone for someone else. You will be the boss, the one in charge of your destiny and you will reap the big rewards that only having your own HB can bring.

You want more time with your Family and Friends. No more missing out on weekend picnics, children’s special events or Holidays. You will be home for every special moment in your families future.

No More Wasting Time and Money Commuting. THIS IS A BIG ONE! With the high price of gas and the average commute to work being thirty miles one way in terrible traffic, just think of the time and money you will save when you work from home! I live in the north and I can’t tell you how nice it is to not worry about driving in snow, ice and other terrible driving conditions.  Not to mention, wonerful feeling of the 15 second commute past the fresh coffee pot to my home office.

What do you feel right now, do you see yourself there?

If so, if any of the above reasons have ever resinated through your mind… Then you are ready to start your own HB. As a matter of fact, if you have ever thought about any of the reasons above or ever wanted your own HB for any other reason… then you absolutely must begin now.  Because you will not feel good about yourself or your life until you make it happen.

In an up coming issue we will discuss how to write your basic business plan. It’s easy!

Thank you again for joining SpidersMarketingWeb.

Jobless Rate Highest Since 1983…

On Tuesday, June 30, the Conference Board reported that its consumer confidence index fell to 49.3 in June from a slightly revised 54.8 in May. Economists had expected an increase to 55. The index was benchmarked at 100 in 1985, a year chosen because it was neither a peak nor a trough in consumer confidence.

The Standard & Poor’s / Case-Shiller 20-city housing price index dropped 18.1% from April 2008 to April 2009. It was the third straight month the index didn’t post record drops, indicating that the slump in home values might be easing.

The Institute for Supply Management reported the monthly index of manufacturing activity rose to 44.8 in June from 42.8 in May. Though any reading below 50 signals contraction, it was the sixth consecutive monthly increase from a record low of 32.9 in December.

The Commerce Department reported total construction spending fell 0.9% in May. Economists had expected a 0.5% decline. Meanwhile, construction spending in April was downwardly revised to a 0.6% gain. Also, a March increase of 0.4% was revised to a 0.4% drop.

The National Association of Realtors reported that its pending home sales index, a forward-looking indicator based on signed contracts, rose 0.1% to 90.7 in May from an upwardly revised 90.6 in April. It was the fourth consecutive monthly increase after the index hit a record low in January.

The Commerce Department reported factory orders rose 1.2% in May, after a revised 0.5% increase in April. It was the first back-to-back increase in nearly a year.

The Labor Department reported the jobless rate rose to 9.5% in June from 9.4% in May. That’s the highest level since August 1983.

Upcoming on the economic calendar are reports on consumer credit on July 8 and wholesale trade on July 9

Nation’s Highest Unemployment Rate Since 1983

The Commerce Department reported total construction spending fell 0.9%
in February. It was the fifth consecutive monthly decline but much
less than the 1.8% decrease economists had anticipated.

On Friday, the Labor Department reported that the nation’s unemployment
rate increased to 8.5% in March from 8.1% in February. Businesses cut
663,000 jobs in March. This is the nation’s highest unemployment rate
since November of 1983.

Let’s face it… the only safe job these days is the one where you are SELF EMPLOYED running your own Home Business.
